Beautiful little Pixie

Meet Pixie, my little 8 week old Cocker Spaniel puppy.
Pixie is into everything and the fact that she comes from Working lines means that she's only going to become nosier and faster with it !
As the only person who feeds her, lets her out and hugs her (!), the bond is already developing as I hear the patter of small paws following me around the house !

Pixie's first day - and looking a little startled by all the attention !

Marley stayed with us for almost a month while his owners were enjoying the Australian summer. He is great company to have around and would regularly wander into my office in the evening, just to check on what I was doing before returning to his bed !

Lulu is the divas diva ! Not content with her ample bed, I would find her curled up and comfortable on my chair !

It's not every day that we have a Ralph come to stay and even rarer for a Jug to be with us. But this Jack Russell x Pug was wonderful company and a real character.

Serious Ralph

And the fun Ralph, which we usually saw !

The Italian Connection - Harry the Spinone

Let me introduce you to Harry, an Italian Spinone. Harry arrived yesterday for a day's "try out", prior to any long term boarding. He's as gentle as he looks and those eyes .... ! Janet

"Come on Chief, smile !!"

"Come on Chief, smile !!" That look from 9 mth old Chief tells me I'm lucky to take even one photograph of him ! Chief is just one dog who has stayed with me since the New Year, either for boarding or residential training. Nearly all can be seen on my Cumbria Dog Training Facebook page, and with a husband who is more than cabaple Peanut enjoys the fells. Meet Nala, a beautiful Portuguese Water Dog, who, at 7 mths old is still displaying alot of puppy traits. She's staying for a 24 hr try out and has fitted in really well. I'm pleased to be able to say that Peanut is staying with me again. This young Cocker is such a lovely girl who makes herself right at home and gets on so well with everyone, both people and dogs. And finally, time for my own girls !

The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog

Over the years I've worked with most breeds, from Akitas and Rottweilers through to Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers. Now I can mention another breed - a Czechslovakian Wolfdog. Meet Kyra, who I'm just beginning to train. As these are early days, the long line is still required to prevent her running off but this is only for short term use until I know with complete confidence that she will respond to the recall. Talking with Kyra's owner Not a common sight in the English Countryside On a different note, Paul was contacted at the start of the week by the Farmers Guardian, asking to use his very powerful photograph from one of my sheep chasing lessons. It features on the "Sheep" page on my website and previously featured in an article on me last year. The dog featured is a Presa Canario x Rottweiler. And I can honestly say that no sheep was bitten or harmed. An all too common sight caused by thoughtless owners But to finish off, let me introduce y...
